Data Analyst

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness and hunger in Atlanta? Intown Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit leading the Atlanta community in homeless outreach and food security programs, is seeking a motivated and collaborative Data Analyst to join our growing team. Founded in 2010, Intown has grown tremendously, more than doubling in size over the past five years. Intown’s 25+ passionate team members have housed over 500 individuals in the past two years and 1,000 since 2017, and the Data Analyst will play a critical role in continuing this success and growth.

What You’ll Do
The role of the Data Analyst is to support the organization’s efforts to manage, assess, analyze, and report
program and development data. Intown relies on timely and reliable data to drive the effectiveness and growth of its programming and fundraising efforts, so you will be in an exciting and pivotal position critical to the organization’s success. You’ll also have the opportunity to regularly interact with all members of Intown’s leadership team as the areas of responsibility for this role overlap with numerous departments. To be successful, you must have effective communication and strong collaboration skills in addition to your technical and analytical expertise.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, etc.)
• 0-5 years of experience in data management
• Experience in data analysis or equivalent educational experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with various databases and CRM software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Passion for sharing your gifts and talents with neighbors experiencing homelessness and hunger

Responsibilities
Data Management and Analysis
• Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop tools for measuring program effectiveness
and provide staff training on accurate data collection techniques
• Utilize statistical methods to analyze and interpret data patterns and trends, driving program design
and performance reporting for key stakeholders
• Monitor and analyze local and national trends in homelessness and food insecurity to guide strategic
initiatives

• Prepare insightful reports for management and leadership, presenting data-driven trends, patterns,
and forecasts to support decision-making
• Ensure data quality, manage databases, and maintain systems for Homeless Services and Food
Programs using Apricot Social Solutions, VolunteerHub, and ClientTrack (HMIS for Atlanta’s
Continuum of Care).

Development (Fundraising) Support
• Assist the Development team by providing data on program outcomes to support fundraising efforts
• Generate reports in NEON CRM, Intown’s donor database, to support the Development department
• Collaborate with the Grants Manager to compile data for reporting to government agencies and
other funders

Program Support
• Provide data collection and analysis support for Homeless Services and Food Programs, both for
internal evaluations and external reporting
• Compile and distribute monthly or quarterly program reports for individual programs and larger
initiatives
• Assist with the preparation and dissemination of documents for meetings and other key events

Work Hours and Location
The Data Analyst position is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. The Data Analyst is expected to work in
Intown’s Atlanta office at least two days a week with a hybrid work schedule possible.

Supervision
The Data Analyst reports to Intown Cares’ Director of Finance and Operations.

Compensation and Benefits
The Data Analyst position is a salaried position with a starting annual base salary range of $54,000-$65,000, which will be paid in equal installments every two weeks according to Intown’s regularly scheduled paydays. Benefits include healthcare, dental, and vision insurance—with employer contributions—as well as healthcare and dependent care FSAs, 403b retirement plan, professional development resources, and generous personal and vacation days off. This position is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay for any additional hours worked. The position is eligible for all employee benefits.
