The Development Coordinator supports the fundraising, donor stewardship, and event activities of the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining donor records, assisting with fundraising campaigns, coordinating special events, and supporting the development team with administrative and operational tasks. Fundraising Support
Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising campaigns and appeals
Support the preparation of acknowledgment letters and donor communications
Track campaign metrics and assist in producing development reports
Donor Management
Maintain and update donor records in the organization’s CRM system
Generate timely donation acknowledgments and stewardship materials
Help identify and research prospective donors, sponsors, and partners
Event Management
Organize and manage logistics for fundraising and community engagement events
Lead at least 3 community based fundraising events per year
Oversee vendor coordination, guest communications, and event promotion
Support post-event reporting, donor follow-up, and impact storytelling
Training & Development Support
Coordinate volunteer orientation and training sessions
Support internal development team skill-building initiatives
Assist with onboarding documentation and process improvements
Administrative & Budget Support
Prepare materials for board meetings and development committee reports
Monitor and reconcile event and project budgets
Maintain shared drives, calendars, and development-related files
Note: This list of responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive. The Development Coordinator may be asked to assist with other duties as needed to support the mission and operations of the organization.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and nonprofit experience
1–3 years of experience in development, fundraising, marketing, or event coordination
Proficiency in donor database systems (e.g., DonorSnap, Bloomerang, Salesforce)
Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Canva or email marketing tools a plus
Passion for nonprofit mission and community engagement
Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for events
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with event setup as needed
Reliable transportation for local travel
Reports to Director of Resource Development
