Social Enterprise Accelerator Program Specialist

 

Part-time, non-exempt

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Senior Programs and Communications Manager, the Social Enterprise Accelerator Program Specialist will be instrumental in elevating the work and efficiency of the SAIL program. S/he will plan and implement strategic program decisions, while also managing day-to-day operations and participant management in the program. This candidate must communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, funders, and staff. 

The ideal candidate will be energetic, efficient, extremely well organized, independent,

hardworking, reliable and dedicated. The candidate must be flexible to perform the diverse range of tasks required of a medium-sized organization and enjoy working in a small team. He/she must have strong interpersonal skills, take initiative, demonstrate innovative thinking, and be able to establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and constituents. 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Participant Management (70%) 

- Develop, implement and manage all aspects of SAIL and related events

- Facilitate strategic collaborations and involvement with community members, corporations, and other nonprofits

- Recruit program participants and mentors

- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and community-based organizations

- Collect and analyze data; prepare scheduled and special reports; maintain program/project records and statistical information

- Assist with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the programs; may participate in other fundraising activities

-Drive and manage post SAIL participant data collection

Event Management (30%)

- Create programmatic communications assets and ensure they are delivered in a professional and timely manner

-Set up and attend SAIL module meetings

-Successfully implement Semifinal and Final pitch event for program participants

SUPERVISORY

- This position does not supervise others.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

- Bachelorís degree in business, communications, or equivalent professional experience 

- At least one year of event planning experience

- Nonprofit knowledge and or experience a plus

- Startup/accelerator knowledge or experience is a plus

- Exceptional written and interpersonal skills, with an empathetic, questions-first approach to all interactions with clients and partners

- Comfort in leading conversations and client meetings with multiple stakeholders

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills

- Shown ability to manage and prioritize time; ability to maintain calm in a fast paced and ever-changing environment

-Project management experience in mid-scale event coordination

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:Work is performed in an office setting; regularly sits at a computer station and operates electronic equipment 4 to 6 hours per day; occasionally lifts, carries and positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have valid driverís license and current car insurance.

Compensation: The salary range for this part-time, hourly, non-exempt position will be $22-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience. This position will average up to 30 hours per week; during event phases hours may increase to up to 40 hours per week. 

Additional Information: This position requires a criminal background check prior to hire. No relocation offered.
